SOUTH ITALIAN BOLOGNESE

Ingredients:

  • (2) lbs of ground beef

  • (1) yellow onion

  • (3) carrots

  • (3) celery

  • (2) cups of whole milk

  • (2) cups of dry red wine

  • (2) 24 cups of dry red wine

  • (2) 24 oz jars of strained tomatoes

  • (2) tablespoons of olive oil

  • (2) tablespoons of butter

  • Garlic powder

  • Fresh ground sea salt

  • Fresh ground pepper

  • Fresh parmigiano reggiano (optional)

Directions:

  • Sauté 1/2-1 chopped onion in olive oil and butter.
  • After onions are translucent, add 3 chopped celery and 3 chopped carrots.
  • Add 2 lbs of responsibly raised beef, cook until there's no more pink in beef.
  • Sprinkle in garlic powder, sea salt and fresh ground pepper.
  • Add 2 cups of whole milk. Cook until evaporated + add 2 cups of red wine. Cook until evaporated.
  • Stir, and cook low uncovered stirring consistently for 3 hours.
  • Once done, add additional seasoning to taste.
  • Serve over cooked, al dente pasta.
  • Sprinkle fresh parmigiano reggiano cheese on top, and enjoy!
