VERDE AVOCADO-SALSA

Ingredients:

  • (4) tomatillos

  • (1-2) garlic cloves

  • (1/2) onion

  • (1-2) serrano peppers (be careful handling)

  • (10-12) Sprigs of cilantro

  • (1/2) avocado

  • Salt (to taste)

Directions:

  • Remove husks from tomatillos.
  • Rinse thoroughly and roast in oven at 400F for about 10 mins. 
  • Once cooked, throw into a blender.
  • Add the onion, garlic cloves, sprigs of cilantro, and serrano pepper. Blend thoroughly into a salsa.
  • Add avocado, blend a bit more and add salt to taste.
  • Serve with tacos, taquitos, huevos rancheros and more!
